Wassup!!! Well I am officially in the City of Atlanta (kind of)!! It
just barely takes in part of the city so we get to see a lot of fun and
crazy stuff/people. We ride public transport called MARTA and it is such
a blast!! I've been wanting to be in a MARTA area since the beginning
of my mission and I guess I finally got my wish!! It's also awesome
because people are almost forced to talk to you; they can't run away
like everywhere else.
Elder Daines is a newer
missionary here and I am greenie busting him. He is a really great guy
and I am privileged to be his companion for a transfer or two. I can
already see the miracles that are being wrought here in this area.
We
found a couple people this week that were pretty interested in meeting
with us so that is always awesome!! I realized that it is really hard to
get used to talking to everyone after being on two Campus' and just
focusing on YSA's for almost a year. Its taken some re tuning to get
used to being in a Family Ward again.
The Ward
is pretty small, but everyone treats each other as family. We attend the
Glenridge building on Sunday's which is actually right next to the
Temple. I've never been able to serve so close to the Temple before so
that is a real nice advantage.
I'll be honest.
It is always sooo hard for me to change area's. It legit feels like
leaving home every single time; and this last time leaving KSU didn't
feel any different. I miss the Branch, Elder Tuitavake, the District and
all the students that we were working with. It was such a blessing to
serve there and I learned so much. But I also know that I am supposed to
be here in Dunwoody. The first couple days are always hard but somehow I
can already see why I needed to come here. Through constant prayer I
have been able to come to that understanding, and I am still learning
more about my purpose here every single day. What a blessing!
Love yall
Elder Northrup
GO FIGHT WIN!!!
