These are the Day's :)

It's been one heck of a week! We had a lot going on and saw a heck ton of miracles as well!! Let me just share a few experiences from this week...

We went on exchanges with the Apes after they were at the Temple for Zone Conference. Elder Sillito and I had a blast with eachother and we actually saw some awesome stuff happen. As we were following up with some old potentials in the area book we had people that were just led into our path. One of which was a young guy named George who we stopped on the sidewalk to talk to briefly. Turns out that he is looking for a Church to go to right now and he has always been curious about the Church of Jesus Christ. Coincidence? I think not. We met with him later this week to talk about the Plan of Salvation and it all made sense to him as it should. What a blessing!

Wednesday was super chill. We were able to attend the Temple for Zone Conference. Its been too long since I've been in the Lord's House, I could feel a rejuvenating feeling as I entered into the Celestial Room again. After the Temple we all went back to the Church expecting to receive some training but instead we pretty much just got to socialize with all the other missionaries. There are 32 missionaries going home this upcoming transfer so President saw fit that we got to spend some time with them talking before they go back home. It was such a fun time!

Thursday we had exchanges with the Sandy Springs Elders. I went up to their area with Elder Lancaster for the day and again, had a blast. We were up in Midtown ATL at Georgia Tech so we saw some pretty interesting stuff and people. Being in Atlanta is so entertaining, especially as a missionary!! It was also fun being on a campus again, this time in the middle of Atlanta!

Friday we met with a guy named Mac. He has been taught by the missionaries for quite some time now, but just recently began to read the Book of Mormon on his own. We retaught him part of the Restoration with emphasis on the need for the Book of Mormon. When I had the opportunity to recite the first vision, it really hit me how special that experience was for Joseph and for us. I knew it was special and important before but it definitely gave it a new meaning in my eyes. I felt the spirit very strong, and I know Mac did as well!

Saturday was absolutely nuts with the blessings from Heaven. At the beginning of the week we had the idea to make some texts to some people that previously had been taught to see if they would be interested sometime in the future. So that being said we were following up with some potentials again in a neighborhood when we passed by a guy who had been working on a roof earlier. We said hello to him and asked if he needed any help with anything. He said sure, and even though we didn't provide any 'service' we had a nice conversation with him. Towards the end he wanted us to come back and talk to him some more, but when he asked for his phone number he said that we already had it. He pulled out his phone and showed us the texts that we had made earlier this week to him. That just blew our minds!! It was absolutely no coincidence that we happened to be walking in the exact neighborhood where he would be working for the day, at the exact time that he would be taking a break, on the same week that we texted him. So we told him it was no coincidence that we were there, and he agreed!! Miracles!!

The last one that I will mention was on Saturday as well! A couple weeks ago we had followed up with some potentials and found a guy named CJ that wanted us to come back. We taught him and his roomate Jesse last week and then met with him again this last Saturday. His girlfriend was there so from just one followup we found 3 new people already! We taught both of them the Restoration and invited them to come to Church. They were super down and he actually mentioned the idea of doing a Church tour this coming Tuesday!! WOWZERS!!

So I guess you could say that we are being blessed these last couple weeks! It's incredible to be instruments in the Lords vineyard here in the Dunwoody Area, I am looking forward to everything that will be happening this week! I am so grateful to be a missionary!!

Dunwoody (Probs Last Area)

Wassup!!! Well I am officially in the City of Atlanta (kind of)!! It just barely takes in part of the city so we get to see a lot of fun and crazy stuff/people. We ride public transport called MARTA and it is such a blast!! I've been wanting to be in a MARTA area since the beginning of my mission and I guess I finally got my wish!! It's also awesome because people are almost forced to talk to you; they can't run away like everywhere else.

Elder Daines is a newer missionary here and I am greenie busting him. He is a really great guy and I am privileged to be his companion for a transfer or two. I can already see the miracles that are being wrought here in this area.

We found a couple people this week that were pretty interested in meeting with us so that is always awesome!! I realized that it is really hard to get used to talking to everyone after being on two Campus' and just focusing on YSA's for almost a year. Its taken some re tuning to get used to being in a Family Ward again.

The Ward is pretty small, but everyone treats each other as family. We attend the Glenridge building on Sunday's which is actually right next to the Temple. I've never been able to serve so close to the Temple before so that is a real nice advantage.

I'll be honest. It is always sooo hard for me to change area's. It legit feels like leaving home every single time; and this last time leaving KSU didn't feel any different. I miss the Branch, Elder Tuitavake, the District and all the students that we were working with. It was such a blessing to serve there and I learned so much. But I also know that I am supposed to be here in Dunwoody. The first couple days are always hard but somehow I can already see why I needed to come here. Through constant prayer I have been able to come to that understanding, and I am still learning more about my purpose here every single day. What a blessing!

Probs the Last Week at KSU :(

Its been real here at KSU and it will be sad to leave but it is definitely time to move on to the next best destination!! I know it will be inspired!!
This is going to be a short email because I am pretty drained.

We were able to have the Baptism for Christian Tiomo this morning and wow, what a special meeting. We had a ton of missionaries there supporting him as well. He got up and bore a powerful testimony about God and the Plan of Salvation at the end. I honestly didn't expect to hear a lot that came out of his testimony. I knew that he knew the Gospel was true, but he went a whole lot deeper than that. What a blessing to be a missionary and to have these once in a lifetime experiences!

Today for Pday we went to the Etowah Valley Native American Mounds. It was super incredible to see the work that was into building those mountains of earth.

But ya, that's pretty much all of it. I am really really really really really really really (really x100) so grateful to be a missionary here. I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. I just wish that everybody would go on a mission. It is so refining!! I have really gained a testimony of Prayer in the last 21 months and how it takes faith and diligence on our part. Truly the Lord CAN work through us, but He definitely doesn't work for us. But He truly wants to help us.

Love yall,

Elder Northrup
