| Reunited with "the man, the myth and the legend" |

Well, it's been almost a month since I've sent my last email so much apologies!
There's been a lot of changes but not really at the same time. We have been working really hard this past month to be consecrated and to put everything on the altar of sacrifice. The Lord has truly blessed us because of these menial sacrifices.
We've been having a really fun time here on KSU's campus lately. The work is slowly down a little bit because finals are going down, but I think it is actually a good thing because we won't get tons of fake people that say they are down.
Last Saturday we were able to attend two baptisms for people that I taught in past area's. The first one was for Tina Sun (chinese family that I taught in Fayetteville). It was really good to see them again after 8 or so months. Jason Sun forgot to prepare a talk on baptism so he just winged up at the pulpit and actually did a really good job. They are the sweetest people, it was such a blessing to be able to find and teach them!
After that baptism, we attended the baptism of Caroline Phelps in Carrollton/UWG YSA. That was a very special meeting. In her testimony, she expressed how she once believed in God but after her mother passed away it took her away from the belief. She descibed the feeling that she felt as she read the Book of Mormon very powerfully, she actually finished the Book before she was baptized. She is definitely an example of one truly converted to this Gospel. Her dad, who isn't a member, came and supported her at the Baptism and the next day at the Confirmation. He said that he could feel his wife's presence at both meetings and now he is taking the lessons from the Elders. It is truly a miracle!!
I am just very grateful to be on my mission here in Georgia. It is hot and humid and wonderful. I am going to miss this place very much, but I am grateful for the time that I have left. I have reflected on the talk by Elder Holland called "Missionary Work and the Atonement." He directs the his message towards the missionaries that wonder what their purpose is through repeated rejection, door after door after door. It really hit home because that is what I have felt throughout my whole mission. But he gives some great advice for those that have these feelings. He says that we should reflect upon the repeated rejection of the Savior and yet at the end of His life said, "forgive them for they know not what they do." That is what I try to remember anytime we receive continual rejection, or when we get bashed, or when we feel like nobody is listening to us for weeks on end; the Savior felt the same exact. What a comforting thought.
Anyways, that was a tangent.
Love yall,
Elder Northrup
Go Fight WIN!!!
